The 8th Montessori Asia Conference was held in Shanghai on Oct. 22 hosted by the Chinese Society of Education which was themed by "peace, development, cooperation and win-win". To explore the improvement of teaching quality, the cultivation of international education talents and the expansion of education resources as well as promote the exchange and cooperation among Asian countries and regions, hundreds of domestic and international Montessori experts and scholars have discussed in-depth aiming at the new trend and development of Montessori education practice.

It's the 111th year since the Montessori teaching method came out in 1907. The child-centered Montessori education concept of respecting children coincides with the needs of education reform in Chinese kindergartens. Montessori teaching method has been widely recognized by many experts and scholars, education practitioners and parents in China and its teaching practice has been rapidly developed. The organizer believes that this Asian conference brings new thinking to the exploration and innovation of early education in China and has far-reaching significance for promoting the exchange and cooperation of Montessori teaching method in Asian countries and regions.

This meeting consisted of 8 keynote speeches and 24 workshops.
