As the first kindergarten established by Wisdom International Education Group, JDM Jiade Montessori Bilingual Kindergarten Shunyi, Beijing Campus was founded in 2008. With an advantageous location at the Beverly Hills Villa Area alongside Chaobai River in Shunyi District, Beijing, the campus is exquisitely decorated and thoughtfully arranged, allowing children to feel comfortably at home. JDM Jiade Montessori Bilingual Kindergarten Shunyi, Beijing Campus covers a total area of 1600 square meters with an accommodating capacity of 102 students. Currently, we have a total 5 classes: 1 junior class (for children aged 2-3) and 4 senior classes (for children aged 3-6), specifically, 2 international ones and 2 bilingual ones. Each class is equipped with a lead teacher, assistant teachers, EAL teacher, and child care workers.

JDM Jiade Montessori Bilingual Kindergarten Shunyi, Beijing Campus, under the Montessori tenet of “Everyone is built and promoted by the surrounding environment. Environment creates to children who need precise and decisive guidance, instead of undefined customary method”, makes every effort to create a safe, relaxing, prepared, and accommodating environment.

What makes our environment more inspiring and interesting are well-organized events to diversify children’s experience, such as Easter Egg, Spring Festival Fair, Children’s Day, and Summer Sports Meeting among other activities. The Field Trip organized each semester also contributes to our children’s expanded horizon and experience.

JDM works, on one hand, to provide children with quality education in an environment of joy and diversity, and on the other, to train them to be self-directed learners with analytical and critical thinking abilities to reach their full potential. We value parents’ involvement as a key factor in children’s education. In this way, we spare no efforts in providing a safe, delightful, and supportive environment for all our students to be offered with fun and enlightening lectures. We use inviting gestures and warm language in class, and we observe at all time how children treat other people and the environment around them with love and care. The great diversity at JDM helps create an enabling environment for future international citizens who study and grow up with keen support for their independent views and endeavors.

The Montessori Method nurtures children’s mind and heart, so that they grow into people who are self-organized, who can cooperate with others, be at peace with themselves, adapt well to an ever-changing society, develop good language skills, and live a harmonious and fulfilled life. One of the key features of the Montessori Method is that a teacher with great patience, care, and professional knowledge is provided for a small group of mixed-age children. This teacher prepares a safe, welcoming, organized, and inspiring environment for children to explore freely. Montessori classes are equipped with scientific, systematic, and instructive teaching tools with automatic problem control, but also very appealing to children and easy for them to move and use. In this environment, children are able to learn by themselves and for themselves, pursue their own curiosity and interest, and at the same time build their characters through problem-solving, and develop social skills by cooperating with each other. This is why teaching materials or teaching tools are so important in Montessori Education.         

We provide rich choices of teaching tools such as nature & science materials, art devices, and musical instruments, so that children can learn practical skills from daily life, build focus, coordination, confidence, orderness, and develop into full personality. Meanwhile, with the critical stages of child development in mind, we enable children to develop a better understanding of abstract ideas through working with various teaching tools. This can also satisfy their need for physical and mental growth.

The faculty at our school is comprised by experienced teachers specialized in early-child education and properly trained in Montessori education. With them, children are able to experience both cultures and learn both languages in a natural, immersive bilingual setting. As a result, our children can master Mandarin and English with ease just like their native language.

JDM integrates the Montessori Method into every part of our practice, especially in the five major subjects: practical life, sensorial, math, language, and culture, contributing to a vibrant and diversified curriculum. Teaching materials and tools are changed once a month in order to better satisfy children’s curiosity and better reflect the scenarios in their everyday life. Once the children enter the kindergarten, practical life classes becomes a bridge between the kindergarten and their homes. This class is intended to help develop children’s focus, independence, self-discipline, and writing skills, including how to write with a pencil. Montessori education, with the rich resources and flexibility it offers, is like a springboard that helps children reach their full potential of imagination and creativity. JDM, in its way, has taken the advantage of the bilingual environment and Montessori education to the full play.
