Located in well-facilitated villa area, Beijing Montessori International School (MSB) is equipped with advanced teaching facilities, including 2 outdoor sports-fields and 5 playgrounds, indoor sports-court, theater, art & music studio, children’s kitchen, library, laboratory, gymnasium, and multi-function room. The central ventilation system installed here covers all indoor areas of our school, offering perfect protection to our children from negative air condition.

Beijing Montessori International School (MSB), founded in 1990, is the first Montessori International School in China that’s ever been accredited by an international Montessori society as well as the only international school named with “Montessori”. For the past nearly three decades, we have been working to provide education for expatriates in Beijing and have built a reputation of “OutstandingEducational Institution”. Currently, over 400 students from more than 40 countries are studying at MSB where they enjoy the world-reputed immersive bilingual (Chinese and English) courses. MSB is a member of American Montessori Society (AMS), a Montessori hub of over 1,500 schools around the world. In additin, AMS affiliates over 100 teacher training programs (all accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE).

Our History
 

In 1990, Shangjin Chen (Chinese British), the founder of MSB, established a Montessori Class of 10 children at the Norwegian Embassy at China, Beijing, to provideunique bilingual (English & Mandarin) education for pre-school and primary school students.

Since then, MSB has been working for children under its noble ideal of creating top quality education. The warm and inviting campus of MSB with the expertise from experienced, professional teaching faculty and dedicated staffs not only teaches children knowledge and practical life skills, but also help them build good characters such as honesty, confidence, and leadership through interactive teaching. What’s more, MSB’s unique bilingual classes offer a fast track for children to master both English and Chinese. Today MSB, with its worldwide reputation, is a major contributor to the academic system of English-taught and bilingual-taught classes. 

In 2012, MSB established its Campus in Xiangjiang Garden, offering education to over 400 children aged 1-12. These children come from more than 40 countries. They now receive bilingual (English and Mandarin) classes developed independently by MSB.

MSB has a history of nearly three decades. It is amember of American Montessori Society (AMS). AMS represents 1,500 Montessori schools around the globe, and affiliates over 100 teacher training programs (all accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE).
