2018 marks the first decade of Wisdom International Education Group (WIEG). The past ten years, the 3652 days and nights tell a story of WIEG committed towards its dream – to become an outstanding education brand with global influence.

February 3^rd, under the shared aspiration of “change the world through education”, members of Wisdom family from different parts of China gathered in Beijing to celebrate this special day, a remarkable day for all Wisdom members.

The warm opening of presenters led off the Tenth Anniversary Ceremony of WIEG and the 2018 New Year’s Banquet.

 

Ten years ago, a seed of dream was planted and nurtured; ten years later, we stay true to our commitment.

The decade of Wisdom is a story of harvest and happiness. The “History of Wisdom” offered a chance for all Wisdom members to reflect on the past and look into to the future.

The past decade has witnessed the quality international schools, bilingual kindergartens, professional training centers, and orphanage being established by Wisdom. Wisdom has dedicated itself to the vision of “inherit a century classics, nurture world citizens”.

Mr. Richard Ungerer, Consultant of WIEG and former CEO of American Montessori Society (AMS), delivered the opening speech for the ceremony.

Mr. Ungerer said, Wisdom’s achievement in advancing quality Montessori education in China and reaching more children and families owes to the support and contribution of all Wisdom members. He was honored to be part of this project and looked forward to working closely with the Wisdom Group leadership this coming year and beyond to pursue its ambitious vision.

Mr. Gui Taihua, Director of Chinese Cyan Geese Peace Education Foundation also delivered a speech to celebrate the anniversary of Wisdom and signed an agreement with WIEG for cooperation in Montessori education system and pre-school education between Taiwan and Mainland China.

During the ceremony, Mr. Gui and Shirley Wu, Chairperson of Wisdom, signed the agreement for collaborative events and programs such as teacher training, multi-media teaching, online teaching, lectures, teacher salons, etc. This will no doubt offer diversified opportunities to the educational development between Taiwan and the mainland and promote mutual understanding and trust.

 

All the accomplishment of Wisdom cannot be possible without one special person, the Chairperson of WIEG, Shirley Wu.

Ten years ago, Ms. Wu came up with the vision of “seek harmony but not uniformity; nurture vitality through harmony”, has built Wisdom Group fully based on Montessori philosophy. Since then, a decade’s efforts have resulted in remarkable fruits and successes.

For the past decade, she has led Wisdom members to build a dream, pursue the dream, and realize that dream. In the next decade, Wisdom family will remain committed to changing the life of the next generation through education.

Brilliant performance is always an exciting part of the ceremony: the drum-beating dance presented a perfect mix of strength and tenderness; modern dance sent the energetic beats and moves to every Wisdom member; the Mongolian-style dance showed great beauty and elegance; parents-children singing brought audiences to a sweet world filled with love; the male solo spoke for the broad mind and big heart of all Wisdom members. The lucky draw sessions set off waves of climax at the ceremony . The banquet hall was filled with cheers and laughter.







 

Along the way of Wisdom’s growth, there were people who had worked hard and tirelessly. They have fought the same battles, shed the same tears and enjoyed the same victories with the Wisdom group. They devoted themselves to their passion and had strong belief in their dreams.

During the ceremony, these dedicated, selfless employees were presented with awards of Outstanding Employee, as an appreciation of their efforts through the decade, and to set them as role models for all Wisdom members.

We believe, any challenge or difficulty will turn into beautiful sceneries along the journey towards our dream. A brilliant future is waiting for all Wisdom members!

Looking back on 2017, our dream has set sail and been ready for the journey; looking forward to 2018, our dream will be furthered with wings for a more promising tomorrow.

Like the sea that embraces many rivers to attain greatness, Wisdom will explore new heights with unyielding spirit and inclusive vision. Starting today, let us once again fill ourselves with faith and courage, stay true to our commitment, and move forward in firm steps!
